are you actually turning the right direction????
if yes....go to your local bike shop and borrow their workshop pedal spanner which has like half a meter of leverage.........and pray....... -

+1 LBS
I knacked a park tools pw5 pedal spanner trying to get a pedal off that the shop mechanic with some 2 foot long forged spanner nonchalantly removed using his pinky finger.

I've had a 1 meter pole on it so far, not budging yet, anyone had any joy with this prob by using heat to free the pedal. Unfortunately, I think the man upstairs is refusing to help as a result of the extreme profanities which accompany my failed efforts.

No offence intended, but I'll reiterate - are you turning it the right way ie. clockwise to loosen a left-side pedal...?

^ heh, ive been guilty on that before

Hit the spanner with a hammer.
Yes, it's hammer time.

Bump, just a tip that worked for me recently. Spanner extension, oil, etc, was doing nothing to move it. So i used the heat technique, but using an easier/less dangerous method, which was pouring boiling water over the area for about a minute. Then two more pulls and it eased out!
A week of stretching spanners, coming close to rounding the flats on the pedal and having the constant hump, cause I can't ride my bike properly! Am currently waiting for an overnight soaking of Plusgas, to see if it can work it's way in and free my pedal. Have done a lot of googling but has anyone got any extra tips?
