If you are a thief why not be a bike thief.
High returns.
Plentiful supply of bike/ parts.
Plentiful market to supply.
Little security.
The general public will not bother you as you go about your "work".
Low risk of being caught.
Low penalties if caught.
As close to the perfect crime as possible. Why bother braking into house or cars or mugging people bikes are easy pray.
