Names and faces to bikes

Jake Yeah, I saw in the ebay thread about someone who had it when it was pink. I bought it last week from Build (on here), needed a new frame after the last died.
prior owner to build is mahmud (moose) ;) . think it turned out pretty good.

When I picked it up, Build had discussed it with Vaz who had just resprayed it, and he thought by the lugs it looked like a Roberts. But I like the mystery.

Not a complete new bike yet but the start of my next build.

Went to a bike jumble this weekend.

Basso frame, columbus sl tubing. Picked myself up a brooks, campagnolo cranks and a pair of brake levers. I am thinking of building this up for long rides hence the aero levers for maximum comfort and brakes aka Hippy style.

Needs a respray may re do the same colour as it is now. The metalic red looks very slick.

Awesome - pursuit frame and risers. Funny as fuck! Not dissing - I think it looks fun.

I know, I've had to drop the front brake by a good 10mm, and there is about 20mm of clearance between tyre and fork crown, I do wonder if I could get 27" wheels on there to try and balance it up a bit more, it does look a little silly. My MTB with 26" wheels (23" frame looks even worse than this). I'm building a 29er MTB at the moment with a VooDoo Dambala steel frame to try and get a balanced looking bike, I tried out a mates 18" kenisis MTB and I make it look like a BMX, he also has a 14-15" cove 4X bike which looks like a monkey bike under me.

i've just finished it, it's got gash forks on it at the moment but i'm gonna go pick some more up today i hope.

just put the new forks on it, the bicture is a bit yellow because of the light in my front room but you get the idea.
