Which winter shoes / boots are people using?

specialized, shimano and northwave all make winter shoes but i'm not sure which ones to go for, if at all.
usually in winter i use gortex socks with my normal cycle shoes (couple pairs of specialized and a pair of carnac's), but on longer rides the added thickness makes my toes go numb and they are not that waterproof - so i'm hoping that what ever i go for is better than that. so any way are there any recommendations out there?

same ones as i wear in summer, on account of the expense.

but with added el-cheapo decathlon overshoes.

same nike road shoes i wear year road (for road riding) with the same overshoes (though i am looking for something sleeker)

shimano mw02 goretex boots, very very warm and waterproof.
i have a pair for sale uk9 euro44 worn once (brought wrong size) £55 and a free set of shimano cleats.

Winter shoes?! Does your butler lay out your cycling kit in the morning? :-P

I'm still in my fifty quid Specialized MTB thingies. Thicker socks are my only concession to winter. I've not even bothered with overshoes for the last few weeks.

Sidi's with a borrowed pair of sidi Heated insoles which are amazing right now.

You need something bright so the drivers see you in the dark depths of winter..

I have herd alot about the new2007 bunny flops. I can't believe it took them so long to make a spd compatible pair. I was thinking of doing your skate shoe adaption on my old pair.

Pearl Izumi Vortex (bargain summer MTB jobs)
Seal Skinz waterproof winter socks (toasty warm)
Endura MTB overshoes (cheapish)

Until I got the overshoes my feet would sometimes still get cold. Overshoes are a good great investment.
I even look like more of a prick now!
