• Ha Cantelowes!
I learned to skate there, back in the days before the council pumped a laod of money into to make it prettier. Shame I can't skate for crap really otherwise I'd be back int he ol' hood faster than you can say skateordie really fast.

• stockwell is my local, when it was open i was there pretty much every saturday and sunday. its gonna be sooo good when it reopens, everytime i go past it just looks better and better. last time it was resurfaced it was shit, but this time the people doing the resurfacing are the people who skate and ride it, namely tony and miller, aswell as some others. cant wait till its done though. ill let everyone know and then you can all come down here and skate!

• Conan
le car
Conan Im fully down for skate sessions.

I also fully recomend MudChute down on isle of dogs, my favourite concrete park in London.
I love Mudchute, its just tight n whippy n fast and awkward and weird. everything i love in skateboarding. Could spend hours there sessioning the small quarters n blocks.

Bowl in peckham is meant to be Rad but havent checked it yet, finsbury park aint to bad for a few hours if its reasonably quiet. Oh and the new London Bridge park looks sick if the age restriction has been lifted by now.
Shhhh don't tell everyone about peckham bowl - i loves it and it's all mine! MINE I SAY!!
Can't wait till stockwell's done... Imagine it all smooth - loverly.
London bridge (tower bridge really) park is brilliant if you like tight, whippy and quirky...

Is Tom Crowe the dude with v short hair who wears smiths t-shirts and can do frontside half cab flips into the bank at southbank?
Me and him started riding fixed at the same time i think - when i saw him he had just squared his back wheel on his first fix
and was a bit gutted. Only met him a couple of times but he was genuinely decent.

• le car
PetereD id love to but im totally out of shape skateboarding wise....be lucky if could pull a kick flip to be honest.

at cantelowes you just need to be able to carve!
nice its all about the lines these days for me!

I used to be at stockwell all the time too, we probably saw each other! I even have a "Stockwell Lumps and Bumps" t-shirt made by my friend Rob.

Eager to skate it again - that new surface was really crap and slow..

Tom Crowe:

(with me to the left and andypancake to the right)

• ^^Nutter

• YES!! Sign me up. Used to live in Brixton & Stockwell was my local. The Portuguese guys OWN that place.

Meanwhile is my local now but I need some equally doddery and un-gnarly dudes to head down there with.

• Fixedgearlondon is always down for skating!!! Were already there!

• OK!!!!
now let's do it.
If the weather is nice I suggest a Cantelowes session tmrw (sat 17) at around 2pm. Either we ride together there or we can meet there...

yorgo

• le car we could also do a LONG ride to Romford (next spring maybe though)

But then I'd have to ride to Romford on my BMX!!

I have thought about this before, what we need it one of those trail abike toe bar things to toe our BMX to places, it would be horrible, but prob not as bad as riding a BMX across London and then out to Romford.

16.49miles from my house apparently. Do able but the ride back would be a bitch once a decent session had been done.

• so guys - if it's sunny i shall be there around 2-3PM - who else is coming?

y

• its meant to be sunny tomorrow so may be down, its gonna piss down on sunday apparently!

• i've never skated but i'd love to try!

• I used to skate meanwhileand the south bank before it was illegalised its has been a while though, skated cantelowes with Crispin, if anyone knows Crispin

• slamm - on t'bay at the moment.

powell deck

• nice work!
will keep my eye on that.

• OK - looks like OK weather tmrw (sat 24).
Anyone up for a session this time? I spoke to Tom Crowe and Andy Pancake and both seem up for it. Cantelowes at around 2PM

• Its always good to see any threads pop up that deviate towards skating, I've still got my first Neil Blender board complete with 'ripp grip' and RAD stickers!
I fucked up my ankles skating now I'm doing the same to my knees riding fixed, such is life!

• "London bridge (tower bridge really) park is brilliant if you like tight, whippy and quirky..."

careful what you say or they'll never lift the age restriction!!!! ;)

• that london park is such a laugh.
they were trying to enforce some odd rules a while back about having age restricted sessions.

did anyone on here go to fully flared at all?

• Just to throw a little something into the mix, anyone here own a longboard ?

And by the way, anything with a frame higher than your kneecaps (when built) in a skate park looks fvcking shite. My how i have laughed over the years at people with 700c and 26" wheels at the various parks i've been to.

The bmx (just sold):

• No longboards, for the love of god!
