I lost the allen bolt from the end of mine. I thought this wasn't possible as they were fixed together somehow?
I'm it happened some time after a puncture repair when the bolt was stuck (grit, whatever?) and I had to punch the crap out of it to get the wheel out.
So, yeah, you could say improper use but I would prefer to swap the tyre and ride home, losing the tug, than walk 15k..
