no, don't know where the rider was, there were no emergency vehicles on scene...

fuck's sake.
I hate coaches.
so, looks like biker went up the inside at the lights, coach pulls away, hangs left without using NS mirror (mounting the pavement by the looks of it) biker pays for it.

hope he gets good comp, and isn't hurt obviously.

thats a roger, not sure about the rear wheels on the pavement but the line drawn between front and back wheel clearly goes over the kerb....KERRUNCH.......if mirror was used it would be nigh on impossible not to see cyclist in almost any scenario....

I'm not defending the coach driver, but the front wheels would have gone nowhere near the pavement. He would have driven striaght for a number of metres before he turned left.
This in now way exonerates the driver from his actions, if he has knocked over the cyclist, he should have looked in his mirror as a matter fo course.
Was the coach indicating Winston?

I was walking down the South Bank near Sea Container House and heard the sirens and saw the lights across the river. My daughter, who was on my neck wanted to know what was going on.
Don't think I'll tell her. -

Blimey... Hope whoever it was wasn't hurt.
A girl in my hall almost killed herself with a left turning lorry. Just tootling along, roaring great big articulated thing rolling by, it to turn left and squeezes her between the railings and rear wheel. Luckily, she wasn't hurt - only a bent wheel.
Any long vehicle = get the hell out of it's way, it probably can't see you afterall.

I'm glad she was ok, but that's one massive hall you've got there.

Any long vehicle = get the hell out of it's way, it probably can't see you afterall. Not true, some of the time I drive fair sized trucks round London and the mirrors on trucks are sooo much better than on cars its scary getting back in a small vehicle. Basically, steer clear of the biggies, but its not the truck or coach's inherent fault but that of the lazy, impatient couldn't give a $^&* drivers.
Bah, tazer guns at the ready.
Not a picture of a guy on a cruiser, but another bike under a left-turning long vehicle, ....Blackfriars Bridge North today at 11.20....hate to say it but I was in a car, hence low quality phone pic:
