VLC (free from Mac and PC) will ignore the region flag and play any DVD on your computer.

Um.. it was about 3 years ago when I bought it. Probably US so yeah R1. Just get a modded player or find the codes for your unit or play on multi-region software.

you can get quicksilver on amazon.co.uk for about a fiver or so (inc shipping). i got american flyers and breaking away for about 10 pounds and the same seller had quicksilver. granted it took ages to get here from the us and they're all region 1... ah! bmx bandits. Afraid I haven't got it yet but it had a run on sky a little while back if I remember correctly. So good, those walkie talkies, etc.

the vlc trick works for some and doesn't work for some... so i always prefer R2 if it's possible...
