hippy Anyone else like Tim Taylor's Landlord? I do...
I'm partial myself although find it quite vollatile to install. Used to work in this cracking pub up north and they swore by it.
On one of our monthly 'Locals Request' whip arounds someone requested that it be replaced with 'Filthy Bastard' although I've never found that one myself.

dont know about filthy theiving bastards, but i do know about arrogant bastards...
stone brewery makes it, its seasonal, and fecking good - but you have to be into your american pale ales, then into your (american) IPA's and then you might be able to drink this one ; goes down like thick honey - some hoppy som'bitch honey, that is.
they also make a double bastard - for those with tongues of leather; and bottle openin' belt buckles for that "on-the-fly" beer drinkery. (pun intended)

Timothy Taylor Landlord was a regular at 'The Flask' Highgate, I will check and let you know, next time I am there. Came up West Hill tonight and was not thinking about beer when I got to the top ...not even thinking about the barmaids at The Gatehouse, everything was kind of hazy without drinking anything.

Landlord is a good pint. and the Volunteer is a half decent pub, if you take the australians out of it, anyway.
Smithy, i'm up in Norwich soon - can't have been fun going to college there, surely? I went to portsmouth, and that was bad enough

no it was a great place lot's of fun, no intimidating chav element just a few crusties, it's a bit poncyfied now like most places.
if the mtb'ing was good there (it isn't) it's one of the few towns/cities outside of london i would consider living in. -

My sister lives there, nice country side, not too many hills. good to hear someone say it's not full of inbred yokels. no chav element? sounds great, but i'm not convinced!

Not had much since we moved away from my fave pub, the Volunteer on Baker St.2 bottles for £3 in Waitrose at the moment (at least in the Barbican branch).
Don't they serve it in the pub in Soho opposite the big plug? You know the one where the landlady onl hires hot girls behind the bar.
