If all you're looking for is a cruise bike, you could do worse. It's heavy, though - although it is a shade over £100!
FYI it's made by SE, not Fuji (SE make the legendary PK Ripper BMX bike)
You could get a Iro Mark V for $600, bring it home and sell it - probably for a profit, too - you definitely wouldn't lose anything.

no, but with the pound so strong you are picking it up for next to nothing. probably cheaper than even renting a bike for a month. looks like a sensible option unless you can source something on the ebay.com in the general area

For $235 it's a bargain. Especially compared to bike hire prices.
Though that's still £120, why not buy a good bike box/bag and take your bike over?
If you don't want to take your bike over, then yeah buying a dirt cheap off the peg thing is a much better deal than hiring or being bikeless.

what i would do is bring a beater from here...swap the frame over with a brand new IRO frameset from US. that way you wont get hassled by customs when you check-in with a brand new frameset or bike....dunno how true this is, but ive read in other forums that customs are getting tight on those taking advantage of the cheaper US$...and a brand new box with a brand new frame will draw attention.

Good point - the bike-to-uni scheme is in partnership with fuji but the bike in question is SE. have edited the topic title.
I would probably leave the bike out there for next time i visit.

Stock components aren't up to much either, the stem is particularly nasty!
But on the flip side it is v.cheap - You pays your money, you makes your choice.
Personally, I would either go second hand, or if you want OTP scrape a bit more together to get something like a Fuji (plus brake)

I have a draft lite, got it at trade so it was to cheap to pass up, yeah the parts on it are pretty shit but for the money and my needs it does the job, I painted mine and modded some oldschool bmx decals I will continue to upgrade as I go along and then get a new frame in the future

I have a friend at Emory university who i'm going to visit for most of December. Quite fancy hacking round Atlanta by bike and thought I might as well buy one seeing as the dollar is so weak - does anyone have any experience of the SE Draft?
I have to confess it's not really my cup of tea, but looks like it would do the job.
Edited to change brand name
