I gaffer taped my mountainbike as it was quite nickable - and it never got nicked. I just wrapped some cut up bin bags around each tube then tapped over it. When it came to remove it it was perfect underneath. Just a bit of tape residue where the frame joints were and i didn't 'underbag' it. I quite liked the rat bike look.
