• Friend told me a story at lunch, kind of royal mail related.

They had some friends over one weekend and gave them a key so they could come and go, the friends left but forgot to give the key back so they decide to send the key recorded delivery. Seems like a good idea. My friend was not into receive the key so they (royal mail) left it with a random neighbor. The next day after returning from work the find their flat has been emptied. Nice. Royal mail will not except any responsibility for leaving a registered package with an effectively random person. Royal mail also do not know who it was left with other than a neighbor. Now what is the point of registered delivery if you just grab any random person, get them to sign for a package and don't take any details?
