Vinz That bike is awful, it looks like something you'd buy in the kids section at Argos!
HAH brilliant. I can no longer look at that bike without being reminded of hipsters riding round on toy tractors in nathan barley...
...but i'd still ride it because i take pride in not taking myself seriously. :)

i know but just think how fun it would be to have such a silly bike, plus it would be funny to see who gets the joke and who doesnt, i think even trackstar made it as a joke on themselves from the outset.[/quote]
I think thats what's makes it so cringe worthy...Hipsters being ironic.

I love the DQM/Trackstar bikes, perhaps that pink one is a little too barbie even for me but I really like the black and the white designs.
The first time I set eyes on them a few months back I wasn't too keen on them, but love them now, the complete antithesis of the black all carbon / mid-life crisis 30 speed road bike.

that DOM is sexy. Looks like a skyway... always, always wanted a skyway. The others... ironic or not just don't do it for me. The way that pig tails and lolly pops on girls with mismatched knee length socks and miffy bags don't do it for me.

and while i found it... isnt this a BMX version of MA3K bike?

skoota that DOM is sexy. Looks like a skyway... always, always wanted a skyway.
That's kind of the point of all of them

Separated at birth ?

• #34
which point? that its sexy that it looks like a skyway or that i always wanted one?
-
• #35
both. :)

is independent any relation to skyway? and is that a bigger (cruiser) frame or just an odd angle do you think?
-
• #37
that's a cruiser.
24" wheelsor maybe even rarer 26" wheels, it doesn't llok much like modern cruiser geometry, the seat tube is well long

haven't you heard? 26" bmxs are coming back into style.

The logic of doing bmx tricks badly on a track bike styled to look like a bmx is a bit lost on me. Someone's going to put pegs on a fixed soon and its going to be a bit embarrassing.

i was always under the impression track hubs weren't designed to take that kind of weight/pressure
though i'm sure some company will make hubs that can accommodate both so everyone can do their silly tricks.

...surely you can get to your tricks ...miles away... quicker on a non bmx. man it must be a bitch to commute from trick to trick with your knees up by your ears.

You need to hit the little grey 'quote' button on the righthand side of the post you want to quote.
-

If for some reason you dont have the little grey quote button you could always just put what you want to quote in side these brackets: [ quote] [ /quote]

Caution: Thread Derail !
i see where your coming from and can see the comparison. when it comes to cars id rather have a nice vintage one than one like that, (not that im ever going to have a car), and i dont think id want to have that bike all the time, but id like a ride on it because it looks kinda sweet, not as sweet as some i see at bike polo or even mine, with all its scratches and paint chips. but the brashness of it is funny and as stated before, it would be funny to see peoples reactions to it.
