thats alright hippy, spoke to ma3k anyway. dont really expect people to stop their ride to answer the phone. well done on the bitch climb.

Ah, I really wanted to! But my bikes drivetrain kept slipping (oh the joys of gears), so i couldn't apply any proper force to the pedals (incase my chain just dropped and my nuts land on the stem). So i didn't feel safe.
He woulda kicked my ass anyway.

continued OK. THANKS AGAIN."yeah - crazy! i wouldn't do it. i hope no one else does either. but i hope also that he'll be back sometime (having learnt his lesson and got some brakes!). aside from that, fantastic ride, about 20 people, all of the rest of whom made it to brighton in one piece - including emily and sebastian. flickwg: fucking A for doing the spokecards: thanks! they're amazing. and to all: photos up soon (next few days as i have time) and i hope to see all yours soon. oh, and helen will be getting some kevlar tyres pretty soon!

Glad to hear 50x14 is 'okay'. Those injuries are gonna take a while to heal though.
I think Brett and Matt are the upcoming kings of the mountains. I might nip back down to Ditchling one morning and spray their names on the road next to Pantani's ;) Hippy probably put out the most power though :P
@DocA - look forward to seeing the pics.

Yep, great ride guys, really enjoyed it. Hope you all had something nice to eat in Brighton. I was glad to finally get home and get some food and drink and warmth inside me.
Scarlett (who stormed up) and Brett both beat me up the hill, then it was MA3K and Hippy in that order I think.
Glad to hear that guy is okay, but I'm quite surprised he broke a rib. See you all at the next one, or in Ghent.

Good ride all that came. (Just a hint of sarcasm there but not much)
Punctures and hospitalizations withstanding it was a decent ride through some beautiful countryside.Salient point to take away for next time:
1) Know your limits (that is addressed specifically to someone but it is too boring to rehash and he has apologised)Super top bravery award for Emily and Seb for keeping going after they had been taken down like that. Get well soon guys.
Top doctor awards for Andre and Helen for taking matters in hand at the crash site.
Prompt response award for the West Sussex Ambulance service.I am feeling the pain this morning but I am glad I went on that ride and am stoked about climbing DB on 48 x 16.

Thanks guys, good ride.
the only hill I had to get off for was Ditchling, rode up everything else - with plenty of encouragement!
Does anyone know a website where me and hippy can get our speed camera photos :D?
Hope 50x14 whathisface is okay, despite agreeing with general feelings about his wayward decision making - and hope Seb & Emily's road rash clears up (hey Emily, what is it with londonfgss blokes with girl's names - is there anyone else out there want to join our club?!?)
Glad to put some names to faces today, and hope to see you out on the road again soon...
