Could try somewhere in Italy for the authentic refinishing. Just a random suggestion. I understand it's probably not that easy.

crayford is in kent. 30 mins on train from london bridge and a 5 min bike ride at the other end (i live in elephant and castle so it was piss easy to get to) I don;t think they have a website - i;ve only got directory references when i try searching for them in the past. The telephone number is 01322 555 549 and i think the guy is either called dave or david.
The workshop looked great. they were doing a bunch for condor and widcomb when i was there... and also (name drop name drop) they were respraying eric clapton's cinelli (i;ve mentioned this in a previous thread... probably sounds like i;m deadly impressed with that fact)

Argos have the best reputation I think and are official painters for many makes. Current discusussion may be of interest on the Retrobike forum:

Search Argos on there too for lots more...

buddha: My mercian frame is at mercian at the moment, it was supposed to be a 4 week turnaround, it's actually going to be 5-6 weeks cos the resprayer was off ill. But they have been very helpful so far. I'll put some pics up as soon as it's done.

Colourtech did my Witcomb, and it wasn't that good.
I am looking into 'refinishing' the 'de Rosa'
http://flickr.com/photos/9865830@N07/sets/72157602936259343/
alot depends on finding some new decals
I can't find anyone in France to do this
So I did a search and it comes down to three of four options
Mercian Cycles
Bob Jackson
Argos in Bristol
or Vaz in London
If I decide to go with it
I will need decals, an exact paint match, rechome & and hand lining
who do you think is going to do best
I reckon Mercian but I dunno if I can wait six months or longer
any ideas peeps....?
