I got a black Brooks B17 championship narrow from ebay for mine. Guy said it had only been ridden a few times. Looks great, but is a bit heavier than a modern seat. It's a bit uncomfortable at the moment, but it is rock hard, so I'm going to try and wear it in. As for the wet, not ridden in the rain with it yet. I've proofhide the underneath and with my short journey's it shouldn't be out in the rain too long.
Might try the plastic bag underneath the seat trick.
