Although I enjoyed having a go at building the wheels (in a masochistic - my thumbs are still numb from pressing spokes about - kind of way) and would deffo do it again, I can't join you for the beers. West Lancs-London is a big chunk of time when you've got a young family!

BTW: Check out http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html, this helped me through. Spocalc was spot on with the spoke lengths for me too.
