If you're after a bargain saddle that's fairly comfortable and light, try the "Charge Spoon".
I bought one after I saw it recommended in a mountain bike mag. About £21, comes in black or brown.
It's comfy enough to ride my commute 3 or 4 times a week (18 miles each way), although I do wear padded shorts too.
