• Condor have their Pistas made in Italy - guessing there must be a few Italians knocking up less expensive basic steel track frames for the home market. Anyone come across any?

  • bianchi is italian...

but honestly, outside of that i can't think of any that make low-priced track frames
ideally, one day i'll have the money for both a sweet vintage italian track frame, and a modern carbon or alu italian track frame

  • I used to have a vintage italian track frame :(

  • I emailed these guys yesterday to see if they shipped to UK and looks like a go;

    La Mille

" price for custom frame + fork is 380 euro (tubing dedacciai com12.5 + lugs) one colour paint 80 euro

built up with all Miche 900 euro

    regards.
    Giacomo

  • La Mille

whoa, thought something unusual with the pix, then i noticed those chainstays are full on flat! are these frames for 175mm cranks?!?

    not badly priced

  • Apparently bareknuckles are welded in Italy, but no one can find out where

  • cinelli alu track frames are pretty cheap at £400

  • com12 is the cheapest tubeset deda make do they have a price for sat14 and eom16? you probably couldn't have lugged construction with these tubesets as they are not round profile like the com12

  • Columbus Life is 480 euro, but you can basically choose any Columbus or Deda tubes and he'll give you a quote.

  • fully built wilier is £800. it's hardly budget, but similar to some of the prices above.

  • Seen a few of those round cyclesurgery's and evans's's's's recently. They look well smart, also do they have miche components?

  • from the website:
    . Wilier 7005 alloy frame
    . Carbon forks & steerer
    . Miche Primato crankset
    . Miche wheelset
    . Miche brakes
. Ritchey Logic Comp anatomic bars
    . Carbon seatpost

  • I was looking at that Wilier in Cycle Surgery last week, the Miche bits look lovely but a road fixie? - has to be steel. :)

Those Mille are nice - some good pics on his ebay advert here:

Are there any Italian companies making a 'value' off the shelf fixie frame?
