What lights are those?
Am looking for a new set at the mo, just for commutin' like but as visible as possible (preferably from the side as well as front / back)

Front is a cheap Electron rechargeable. Comes with two lights, but to be honest the bottle battery is nowhere near as good as they claim and the really bright light drains it in no time - the 5W is perfectly good for seeing and being seen. The rear is a big block of a Cateye with 10 LEDs in it (8 pointing backwards, and one each out each side).

I have these Electron, and they last a week with both on after a full charge, will put mine on this weekend i think.
Got mine from Merlin cycles as they had them cheapest at the time. -

hippy has a cool light diotie or something like that. I have a light with a waterbottle battery but it is such hassle taking it on and off.

Dinotte 5w, 4 AA's, very small and does good job. Used for Dunwich and Rolling to the Stones plus commuting for a year or so.

Hahaha, that is terrible. Do Halfords seriously think car drivers would even notice a flashing rear light on a bike?

"Hahaha, that is terrible. Do Halfords seriously think car drivers would even notice a flashing rear light on a bike?"
Probably not but they think that it will sell to eough people who think car drivers will see it and that is what matters to them.
The big lights have come out with it getting darker and wintry....
And, unfortunately, the race blades (I hate 'guards with a passion, they come off whenefver any dry weather is threatened)
