  • mercianary well said momentum, I wasn't asking if people like them or not. Just whether it seems a lot. There's one on eBay.com for $370, brand new, it's the same price as direct from aerospoke, and wont ship out of US, I guess cos of postal costs.

    The only thing I would say is that $370 is obviously a lot of money for a wheel so it's worwhile thinking what you will get for the money. I think the consensus is that they don't offer many performance benfits over traditional wheels and so might not be the best choice for either street or track performance. If it was me I would get a quality wheelset (e.g goldtec/mavic cxp33 for street or loose ball track hub/tubular for track) if performace was a concern. Aerospokes do offer a unique look and that might be worth the cash. They are meant to be strong, but once they go out of true or the braking surface gets worn then there's no way to repair them.

    If I was going to get a composite wheel then I'd look for a second hand one (trispoke seem to go for about £150 on ebay) rather than new as I reckong that it's better value.
