ok, so it's pretty rusty and too small for me, but it was left out on my street just a few doors up.
its 531c, i couldn't leave it to rot now could I?

it is really rusted around the BB though.
its gonna need a good old wire brushing, sanding, new paint job... id love to keep the original but its well knackered.

not too hard as long as it's only surface. get it blasted, looked over and then powdercoat/enamel it. i like the frame by the way.

yep. Campagnolo drops and headset and cranks.

re: rust. sheldon brown seems to think that it is VERY rare that rust ever causes structural damage to a frame. im not so sure.

there was a girl after a frame on her not so long ago?? perfect for a lady or a shorter chap. maybe jut sell it on?? people will def snap it up as its 531c with campags.

Maybe just deal with the smallness :). My pista is too small and i have a funny feeling my armstrong will be too big when its finished...

mmm, very rusted. it doesn't have the crank bolts in, which make me think the cranks and BB might me fun to get out ;)

woah, the things people throw away.

i stripped it down, took out the crank bolts etc myself, aint got a puller yet, going to borrow off a friend, so'll have to wait and see what joys lay in store there.
managed to sort out most of the rust with a good brushing and sanding. once/if i get the cranks off i reckon i can have her ship shape.

That's super-duper. There's treasure everywhere on the streets of London, eh? The only discarded bikes I see up here are horrible Argos-stylee mountain bikes. You're more likely to help them on their way with a booted foot than take them home for some TLC.

I like the orginal paintwork, but it looks too far gone to keep. What colour are you thinking about respraying in?

good going! I bought a frame just like that off ebay (with much less rust on it) for £75 and i was chuffed with that. the drop outs are just the right size to get 120mm track hubs on it. You've done well with that find! now bring it back to life
