Aerospokes are cheap and shit, but, weirdly some people like to pay over the odds for them...Aerospoke ltd can't believe it!
As for going faster on the track, with all due respect Mr Trout, a Rowland built 28 hole traditional "wheel" with lightweight tubs will make you go faster on the track than an aerospoke and will cost you HALF the price not double.
It's much better value to lose an ounce of body fat than pay for an ounce saving in carbon! the only thing guaranteed to make you go faster on the track is getting fitter. A standard club rider will see no perceivable difference in their performance in the kind of racing they may take part in track leagues by wasting money on carbon wheels....even top riders like Messrs Scripps, Taylor and Lewis save their carbon for top flight competition only.
Of course if you were to turn up at the track with carbon wheels, then get beaten by all the 60 year old super-vets on trad wheels you would look rather foolish which would be hilarious so I would encourgae anyone to do this!
