slamm ok, so last night I'm riding home after checking the Obey party at Gloria's and get to Fulham Road (by Chutney Mary's)…
there's quite a lot of traffic, think it was football related, and as I'm coming up the bike path a bus driver decides to open his doors to let out an impatient guy.
There's my cue to ride straight into him, taking him out and rebounding off him into the bus and then to the floor.
I first start cursing the guy, who was obviously very apologetic then start shouting down the bus driver who stepped out to 'have a look'.
Now the thing that really fucked me off was after asking the driver what he was doing, he just shrugged and got back on his bus before driving off.
Took me a while to get my composure and check I hadn't bust myself up by which time he was long gone.
Do I report him? or do I just let it go, putting it down to the joys of riding in London?
(Got a vague idea of the license plate no. and obviously what bus route, time etc.)
after reading about fellow cyclists in my area the process tends to go something like this.
You complain, get f all response.
Complain again and then you get something from the bus company.
A very concerend, well meaning and excellently trained manager tells you that the driver has been spoken to and training will be issued to all staff etc.
Essentially, at best someone has a word, at worst they don't do shit, probably have a good laugh about it and nowt changes. It is a shame as you really want someone to act on these things. As long as you're alright I'd stick it down to experience. He's in the wrong and his your karma just went down a point.
