Dunno about the seat post bolt, maybe http://www.billys.co.uk/english/index.php?maingroup=bikes, depends on what size/type. I have a thorn frame that uses an allen bolt that threads into the seat binder.

condor sell them.
-
• #4
um, I've got them from SJS in the past.
-
• #5
Yeah. The Surly one.
This cheap frame is going to cost me a bomb I just know it. 4 Different suppliers and a crazy mix of parts already.

i was lucky, my old pace had horizontal dropouts........
but my clockwork before that didnae....just bodged a derailler. -

i just bought a seat bolt from sjs... 3.49
for the cranks i have used 3/32 on these and they work great:
sugino mighty (check smiling buddha's dahon, same cranks)
SR track cranks (campy copy)
sugino super maxy one piece (BLB £48 - most chainrings are almost 30quid or over, and i quite like the way it looks, so i thought, fuck it...)apart from the last one the above 2 won't be easy to find and probably none of them would look good with what you put on that frame... i'd say use road cranks with a shorter BB to get the chainline right. but heck, you're using spacers on the wheel anyway, easy.

Oooh. This turns up on Monday. Should be nice.
Ended up speccing it out just a little bling. I'll get some photos when it's done.
I think some of you will quite like it.
-
• #9
Weird that it's specc'd with 135mm rear spacing.
-
• #10
Solved with a Phil Wood Kiss Off Hub

You weren't joking about bling spec, were you :O
-
• #12
I was thinking of dressing it up with a bow tie too.

i think you need another inch or two of spacers in the headset ;)
-
• #16
Nice parts list but I'm not a fan.. there's a track bike crying out for its 75's back.. Ti freewheel and BB? Why?
If you ever decide to strip it down though.. let me know :) -
• #17
a little bit of an overkill there...

Sweet. I hope the effort is appreciated.

Haters the lot of ya. She loves it, it's a smooth ride. And as argued before, it's not like buying stuff somehow deprives someone else of their ability to get it, the Sugino may well look better on a track bike but it's hardly like the majority of your track bikes see the track that often.
-
• #21
how come you didn't get an ENO hub, save the bother with a chain tensioner??
-
• #22
The ENO hub was the wrong width. Totally screwed me. The Phil Woods saved my arse on that front.
-
• #23
looks like a bird's bike ;o)

I just wouldn't have used 75's on that. It's not about looks - you know I'm not into that - I'm too sexy for my bike!
But the ti stuff? This things gonna need so many locks to keep it from disappearing you would be better off without.Does your missus appreciate the effort? She better!

You can get these in 135mm though? I'm sure they used to do 'em..
I just won this sterling frame:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160170552576&ssPageName=STRK:MEBI:IT&ih=006
It's in pretty good nick, but I need a seat post screw thing, and all of the other things like a headset, stem, BB, cranks, etc.
It's going to be a singlespeed for my girl. Wheels I have already in the form of a pair of Campy Neutrons that are sitting around doing nothing (spacers for the cassette here I come!).
Anyone know where to get the seat post clamp screw thing?
Or the spacers for the cassette? (It's a Campagnolo 10-speed.)
Or a singlespeed crank that is decent and for 3/32?
Aside from that, everything else should be easy to source.
