£399 for a fixed, by post. That's quite a steal really, just for the hassle free shopping.
Still gotta be confident in setting it up and making sure the fit is right. Traditionally that's what the bike shops do, but how many of us have been satisfied with bike setups recently!

Ridden that and it feels very very sloppy. Have a look at the angle of the head Tube. The company that have branched out to what looks like a very pretty bike come from a MTB back ground and dont really know what they are up to when it comes to road bikes/ track frames.

What is their target market though, I would hazard a guess they are trying to get their current customers (who are mountain bike/dirt jump riders) onto bikes more suited to city commuting, they are used to slack bikes and the plug geometry and general look will be a lot more familiar to them than something like a langster. I would say they are trying to build more of a skinny fast mountain bike for the road than a track bike of any sorts.

I'd go with bill,
Much more of a comfortable ride than my road bike, but still streched out enough to get some aerodynamic crouching going...

I got my Fuji Track for £268 from biddle. When you can beat that let me know.

^^ what he said.

What is biddle? That is a great deal.

i have - went to several bike shops whilst trying to decide on and then get a bike. brixton and holloway were both super helpful, i'd go back to either at the drop of a hat to buy a bike - and don't mind paying a bit extra, particularly brixton as it's a workers coop rather than a chain store.

Looking at that head tube it looks as if they have designed it to remove toe over lap
I have 75 headtube on my bareknuckle which means at low speed it does really go around corners

Yeah I'm wel chuffed with my Fuji. It works. It's not broken. The decals are irritating but everything is fine for me right now. When something breaks I'll replace it with something better.

You'd think mail-order you'd get a discount, £399.99 is the list price in-shop.
-
• #19
At 13kg it's seriously heavy
-

yes, 399.99 is list price in shop. no bargain getting it from sjs. you have to wait and waste money on postage.
had a close look at one today. i'd choose the fuji over this any day. at least the frame is decent. the plug's frame is made from tange straight gauge tubing. straight gauge people, straight gauge! when was the last time you heard of a bike frame made from that? and the tubes are well huge in diameter (only to balance those graphics??). it looks quite ridiculous with those bars which are almost a third of the top tube size... no wonder it's so damn heavy.

Had a look last week in Evans (Grays Inn Road) - quite heavy, cheap wheels but looks very nice.

Plenty of people are still building bikes in straight gauge tube, especially tourers (do you really want to start hanging big waterbottles of the thinnest section of your tubes?), real big stuff (try finding butted tubes long enough for a really big long frame ;) ) and stuff with curved metalwork (butted tube doesn't bend nicely). The tange tube used does look like oversized mountain bike tube though and not something I'd associate with a steel roadbike.
I still like the look though.

when i saw the charge fellows at the bike show in earl's court the other weekend, they were doing a bright green plug with pink deep-v's, bull horns, the nice charge leather saddle and wrap, for the same £399 (limited run, but not too limited), though i haven't seen it anywhere and its not on the site etc. it look pretty ace, good spec and all, and for 399 its a pretty decent ride-to-the-death bike.
plus, the cadence video of the plug makes me pretty tempted...
