  • scott not scot i just realised why i know that guys face.....he looks like the bad guy professor that used to be in 'chip n dale...rescue rangers'....:)

    OH MY GOD!!

  • ahhh

    BINGO!

  • lol.

My gf picked me up some cheap string type cold cathode thingy once. It's rad. I wrapped it around my bike. shame it was all pink and made an annoying buzzing sound.

  • Apologies, but back to the topic of Archie's Grobags.
I had a proper look at Smeear's on Saturday. I'm ridiculously impressed by the quality and the thought that's gone into the product.

Damn fine job Scottnotscot. Now to wait for an excuse that justifies me buying a new bag.

  • I still don't get Messenger bags. I've always preferred Rucksacks. I know the arguments for messenger bags. Rucksacks just feel (more) right to me. I guess its just personal preference.

  • You're welcome.

  • scott not scot cheers object 17....:)
tallsam....i used a rucksack when i did the dynamo....i prefer a rucksack for longer distances.....but having said that....my messenger bags feel more like a rucksack when the x-straps are all done up than most brands....probably cos my x-straps are the same width as the main strap?
i reckon it's just a horses for courses thing....:)

    oh...and a rucksack is in the pipeline...hehe....:)

To be fair I've only tried Crumpler messenger bags with no X Strap or anything. Looking forward to see the Rucksacks.

I'd used rucksacks for years and never really saw the point of courier type bags. But then I tried using a cheap nasty one (more of a laptop bag) and it really helped when cycling. The higher position relieved the lower back pain and helped to distribute everything.

...fast forward a couple of years and I'm now in possession of one of Scott's bags. As has been said ad infinitum on here they are excellently made and incorporate all of the features you need, not just some of them (which is the problem with most other bags). When I first got the bag I really thought it was too much, too professional for me. But then when I'd got all the different straps and adjustments right (and it takes a while) it's been something of a revelation. Granted I would probably opt for something else on a long, long ride (saddle bag would be preferable) but for everything else the courier bag works so damn well. I've loaded it up with shopping, sound equipment, you name it. And it's when it's fit to bursting that it really comes into it's own. It's become ridiculously comfortable. Taking all this into account and that they are very competitively priced means they come highly recommended from me.

Anyway, I will put some pictures up soon. Are you blushing yet scott??

    p.s. I'm not on scott's payroll, honest.

  • I'm noticing that, which is cool. hows the sleep deprivation coming along?

  • You are working through the nights.. training your small sweatshop army..

  • Oooh.. hot pink.. everyone knows i'm a pink-lover just waiting to be exposed..

I like the orange coz I have orange now and it's easier to see stuff against a light background, but what options are there?
I could assist the purchase of an alternate colour roll..

  • Hot Pink! The Rapha lawyers will be on you like a shot ;-)

I like the sound of it, though.

  • Scot, does you list of standard extras include a pump sleeve? If not, can I have one please?

  • A mini pump. Actually, I forgot about all the pockets; I just got excited about being able to ask for anything.

I really like the idea of the hot pink lining. It's a bright background; it makes a change from orange, and you could make a special edition bag with a pubic hair cover.

  • Quick newbie question...

I used a crumpler for a while before trading up to a rucksack with a mesh airflow system thing, to help with sweaty back syndrome.

What are the grobags like for this? (obviously no mesh, but the sweat situation...)

  • scott - you got a sneeky deeky pic of the brahhhhn one?

  • scott not scot i already have a pubic hair cover....it's called 'underpants'....:)

    Boom Boom!

  • old skool airflow system - works as well...

  • pants are over-rated. nice product.

  • Just had mine delivered- ninja black with reflective trim ( guess its the one pictured a few posts back).Even after one ride it feels right. Nice and comfortable ,fully adjustable, every extra you can shake a stick at and more.Quality is impressive , its definitely built to last ,makes a timbuk2 and crumpler look pretty ordinary in my humble opinion.

    Nice one Scott.

  • pics???/

  • As you wish , a few photos :

    Night mode : Back:

    Open:Look inside:

  • That looks like the dogs nuts.

  • i cant wait for mine so excited.... even though i know its a long way off.
