First off sorry about the crap pictures, my camera battery died taking the picture of my track bike (posted in names & faces to bikes) and I can't lay my hands on the charger, so had to resort to my phone's camera. I bought this frame to build up as a track bike, but then realised it's just a touch to big for me, which is why I bought the Dave Marsh.
It needs a respray and the pictures don't realy do it justice, but it's nicely built, doesn't have particularly fancy lugs but does have nice chromed plug-in type track and fork ends. It's also a "proper track frame" i.e. fork and rear brake bridge are undrilled.
Thing is I can't find anything online about Bob Weston, can anyone tell me anything about him/them, anyone know if they're a framebuilder or shop who put their name on frames they bought in? I'm guessing it's no earlier than the 80's and know later than the 90's, anyone know any more?
Having realised it was too big for me I was going to build it up for my brother (he's got slightly longer legs) but we've now got another project in mind for him, so I'm now open to offers for this, either for just the frame or with bits attached, apart from the headset, which is a Gipiemme, the rest of the groupset is 80's Campagnolo. The wheels are tubs rather than clinchers, but the tubs need replacing. The seat tube measures 55cm centre to centre and the standover height is just under 32".
