I got the bike built up by andy pancake at cavendish, and asked for the bars to be taped from the top to halfway down the bars, since on me road bike I rarely use the drops, so figured I'd spend more time with my hands up by the stem and on the top half of the drops. Somewhere along the way this was miscommunicated and the bars were taped from the drops upwards, when they told me I asked for that to be rectified, but because I also have some of those lovely bar end lights which need to be secured with tape so they don't fall out, that wouldn't have worked, so what you see is the compromise situation of having tape at the top and bottom of my bars but not in the centre.

Was thinking of having it retaped but its growing on me so I'll leave it for the time being
