I don't know about it being THAT heavy either. On the weight post it wasn't that much heavier than the langster. (or have I mis-remembered)
It's about as light as my skinny steel italian geared road bike...
I didn't have much choice as it was the only fixed my lbs could do for me (I had a voucher). But I love it now.
As for upgrades, the rims LOOK really budget, so they could go. I'm adding TT levers for the bullhorns, after that???
