dunno what your new(old) frame is, so i guess that's the first question.
secondly, are you aiming for a period-correct restoration, or just want to do it up nice and aesthetically pleasing?

3leading 3trailing got me a scolding from the hetchins archivist (not period correct), but i think it's lovely, and compliments the frame.
in fact, there are a number of incorrect bits on my bike; some of them offend me, and are there sheerly for practical reasons.
the wheels, however, despite being very incorrect (they're 700c rather than 26"ers; hubs and lacing all new-fangled), i adore. -

got some tub rims up for free if you want them stef. old and a bit dirty came with an ebay buy not wanted, rim only though. if your interested ill put up some pics

imho, go with classic on this one; clean straight lines.
for my new baby, she's vintage so i decided to ditch the very popular choice of going for a modern/vintagey look and give thi beauty the look she really deserves, my thought was to get campy hubs, rims or ambrosio ones, and have a crow's foot lacing but then i saw the fancy three leading three trailing????or shall i just go for a classic 3 cross?
