Miche is ISO taper so a replacement would be a Sugino 75 BB, Campagnolo, Phil Wood, TA etc. Shimano are all JIS so won't work well.

i'll see what brixton have in stock tomorrow, hopefully something that will fit other than a phil, i can't splash out on one at the mo.

i think i need a campag chorus double chainset bb as it's 111 so only 2mm further out, i'm running goldtec hubs so should be o.k
it's the same tool as the miche which i already have.
i just need to find one in london tomorrow. -

don't forget it's only 1mm, out** each** side.

miche bb is 107
my maths is crap -

how many miles have you done on it? miche bb's are hit and miss in quality i had to take 2 back to condor before i got one that spun my cranks without a wobble left to right, but it's still going strong after a year/15,000 miles or so working on it.

ISO taper BBs are a rare thing.
The Miche is generally OK. It's only a Kinex, as is the cheapo Campag. And the cheap Campag is unusually cheap.
I want a Royce.

bling bling had one from the green roberts

royce was lovely, roberto had it on a good price, 115mm tho

i have probably only done only 2500 miles on the miche, at the moment it's £20 for a miche from condor (i need the bike on sunday so can't order one for £12.99 from parkers)
the campag chorus one £32 which i don't mind as long as it lasts. just about to get on the phone and find one. -

anyone know which shop (the closer to sw the better) would stock camag bb's? brixton only have 115 which will be too long.
edit: all sorted gb cycles in croydon have one (cheaper than evans too)

Bonus!
1 hour later my mate who works for cycling weekly (based in croydon) picks it up and delivers it to my door (tootin) on his lunchtime review ride. and with a weighty discount on the BB too :-) -

I had a wobble with the Miche BB - one of the cups would undo itself eventually. Was irritating.
Bought a tub of thread-prep gunk and slathered the threads on the inside of the shell with it.
Hasn't come loose since.

the miche bb feels smooth but the cups aren't very tight. i could have put some kind of thread lock in there but then it can lead to problems removing the bb at a later date, and it's a new condor frame so didn't want to take any chances. hopefully the campag one will last a lot longer.

that's what she said
My 5 month old miche bb is now rocking in the shell even after tightening it up it's loose again after a few miles, i can either get a new one from condor tomorrow or get a shimano one from brixton but the tapers are different, evidently fsa ones will fit the miche taper perfectly but they have none in stock. if i can use a shimano one i'm worried the chainline will change even if i get the same bb length because maybe the cranks will go on the taper further? is anyone running a miche chainset with a different bb?
my other worry is that because the actual cups are rocking in the shell then possibly i have ovalised the shell? if i have i'll be right pissed off as i only noticed the rocking when checking the crank tightness something i do periodically but there was no noise or vibration through the drivetrain to draw attention to the problem so i could have been riding with loose bb cups for a week ruining my frame in the process.
i guess i'll find out tomorrow when i fit a new bb.
