why don't u use the fr wheel from decathlon ;) , if you take the stickers off they look very similar to cxp33's ;) . try building the rear for yourself, not hard to do.

Yeah, I bought that wheel building tutorial thingy, just don't think I should try to build something for the boss in case it breaks and I get a kick in the balls.
Thanks for the idea though

dude, you have to massively stuff it up, to make it break. i'd do one wheel for ya for £10. note, i've only done one wheel so far :P

Well how about I buy beer, give you a tenner, you show me how to not fuck it up and if I still get a testicular shoeing I revisit the favour on you?
With an offer like that, how can you say no?

Apparently not, he's gone very quiet...
I'm building a bike for my missus (she has a horrible Decathlon thing and keeps going glaze eyed when she she's other people's bikes)
I've managed to get a bike (minus wheels) from ebay and sourced a set of hubs from an old Fuji track (I know they're not the best, but they'll be fine to start with...
Any rim recommendations? She's digging deep V's, but the rims alone will be more than I've spent on the whole bike so far - I'm not being tight, just want to make sure that she's really into it before I go mad with parts... She'd like something nice looking, but I don't want it too OTT because it's going to be a daily ride and locked up on Brick Lane.
Who else does coloured rims? Or any suggestions for simple, strong, silver ones... I'll also need to get them built up - is Arup still doing his beer/inexpensive builds?
Thanks
