I watched some program on the BBC a while back, all about Bike theft in London, and that Tw%t who escaped jail, despite nicking over 100 bikes was mentioned. It was seriosly frighning! One, they set a man with an angle-grinder on a bike in central london, during rush hour. No one even looked twice! The guy walked away with the bike no questions asked. Two, the ran a series of tests on various bike locks, between 20/30 quid mark up to over a ton, and NONE lasted more than a few seconds.
Despite that I still went out and bought another lock for my bike!
