thats an old wives tale. titanium is hard to work with and you need to know what you are doing with a tig torch but if it's a full moon or there is an 'R' in the month it's doesn't mean a thing.
the variation in diameter/thickness/butting and metallic composition from the mill should be negligable otherwise people wouldn't buy the tubes.
