Leave them on.

depends how much you like your life :P

Leave 'em on until you stop needing them. Learn to skid, stop etc so you can ride confidently without ever touching your brakes and then, and only then, consider removing them.
You have to build up your skills and leg strength to go brakeless.
The question about brakes vs brakeless has been debated to death, but pretty much most people will need brakes on their fixed gears cause it really takes skill to ride brakeless 'safely'

he's obviously a reporter trying to sneak his way into the fixed gear crowd and find out all our dirty secrets and then report back to his boss...then his boss will write a really shit artical on how bad it is riding brakless and that all fixed gear riders are really aliens trying to eat people brains....or something like that

Hey guys, does anyone here not wear a helmet, jump a red light, refuse to believe in global warming, ride brakeless or support a particular political party?
...just wondering.

its what happens when people dont search discussions
-
• #19
well yeah aidan, but it's the same theory basically. no matter how you get around town / ride your bike / use the forum, a twat is a twat, doesn't matter if you drive a car or not / ride brakeless or not / use search or not.
