I've just started reading 'one more kilometre and we hit the showers' or whatever the title is.. and it mentions hill climbs and the whole culture, tradition and time-tabling behind english cycle racing. Quite cool so far.
Says something along the lines of 'hill climbs are more like festivals for the knowledgable fans that line up alongside the crappy roads and cheer riders all the way up'. Sounds fun. Not at all like a Melbourne hillclimb tt :)
