I'd regrease and tighten the pedals too. Let's face it, pinpointing a noise isn't that easy when you're actually on the bike. Reckon it's best to make a start on the stuff that's less hassle to do, before you start dismantling your ride. So that means clean and lube the chain, and sort out the pedals and the seat post.
It might be easier just to wear your iPod on the bike. :-)
