What scott said, I like the design and the shaft drive sounds good, but I think it may be quite sloppy, probably more suited to SS than fixed riding. nice idea though.

Talking about curious Danish bikes, there was an exhibition at the Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen in August where a company got ten designers to design futuristic bikes that could be mass-produced for the Scandinavian market. those danish bikes don't look futuristic at all. most of them look like the £50 bikes you can buy mailorder from the sunday supplements.

FUGLY! I quite like bamboo bikes though, I have seen a couple of nice ones done with carbon-fiber lugs, strange mix of really new and really old technology that works well together.

The 10 visions of future bicycles are lame. why do designers assume that everything in the future will have outrageous (and completely pointless) curves? If these people get their way we'll be living in a wave shaped house, looking out a wave shaped window, drinking wine from a wave shaped bottle in a wave shaped glass. While waving.
