Kipsy - I'm in North Kingston. I know what you mean about the Priory Lane cycle path - always take to the road there and try to ignore the door mirrors clipping my elbows. But then I don't think I've ever been on a cycle path which seems like it was actually designed to be ridden on.

Ahh just had a taxi too keen to pick up a fare cut me up and slam on the breaks, resulting in me skidding into the closing gap. I relearnt a foot plant v.quick.

Had a taxi run into the back of me on the Strand last night.

I stopped for the traffic in front of me and then felt a strong bump from behind. Turned round to see a black cab sitting on my rear wheel...really, my rear wheel had gone straight through the bumper. He had to back off to free it, although I suspect he thought he was just giving me some room. On the upside he was decent enough to appear concerned for my bike and welfare, even if it was just to avoid any hassle. Kept asking if I was ok and if the bike was ok. Luckily everything seems fine, no damage...to my bike at least, I didn't point out the gash in his bumper.
