Kelvin my tektro cross leavers don't fit so bodged them with a longer screw
very professional
Did you buy the 31.8mm ones or did you buy the smaller ones? If the bar is 31.8mm and the levers are 31.8mm I don't see why they wouldn't fit in the first place.

I'll have bought the wrong size, i'm a newb so asked the lbs if they fitted, they said yes & trusted them
Couldn't be bothered to go back and change them having already been to three shops attempting to get them, and the longer screw seemed to do the trick

yeah my mate bought a Bianchi Pista three weeks ago and I've been suggesting which brakes to buy and so far we've bought a brake that doesn't fit and three levers that don't work so in total he's spent about £12 returning everything. Hopefully I'll not make the same mistakes ad I made for him.

on my fuji, I used a dirt harry lever (which I had spare from going brakeless on the bmx). The dirt harry's are oversized and are sold with a couple of Alu shims to fit most bmx bars. I'm sure there's plenty of levers you can use though..?
-

Dirty Harry's are available in two sizes. BMX standard is 22.2 and oversized is 25.4.
The one that comes without the shim is the (too) small one.
Neither will fit on an oversized road bar (32.8mm).

you're right I think, I was thrown off by andrew saying the fuji had 31.8mm bars? They're 25.4..

I've a Tektro cross lever on mine, I just shimmed it with some rubber and now it's solid.

I see the Fuji track comes with 23mm tyres. Anybody know, if there is sufficient space in the frame to take 25mm or 28mm tyres?
-
• #112
I think 25 would work, 28 would probably not..

Guy your expertises is needed, My fuji track came in on Friday :D and I've already got my mind set on upgrading a few parts mainly; tyres, adding a front brake, and a 18t free wheel sprocket. What i need help on is choosing the sprocket, any recommendation? heres the specs of the bike http://www.cyclesense.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b0s294p3520

CNC sprockets are best cos they're rounder.
EAI are good, so are the CONdor ones. £20-25.
ShimaNO 105 brake is good value. Available OE from Wiggle under 20 sheets.

I might have some brand new black 105 calipers to sell soon..

My advice, as a Fuji Track owner, is to paint the fucker ASAP. Because it will not be long before the fact that it says 'Fuji' on every single bloody tube starts to drive you mental.
Plus, you get to strip down and rebuild your bike, which is always satisfying.
