New Year Ride

brett I'd suggest out of London somewhere, about 30-40 miles from central to a decent country pub. Few pints and a bite, amble home before it's dark.
As for exactly where, not sure. Home counties are littered with nice boozers - will just take someone knowing of one.

That's more or less what I was thinking - ride out of London to the country eat, drink, ride home.

It can't be that hard to find a pub anywhere, lets just head out and stop when we find somewhere to eat. I don't know exactly where 'cos I'm a city boy and get lost easily, I was hoping someone else would make suggestions.

Long Melford might be a bit far, but we could just take the Dunwich route out until we find somewhere and then ride back.
