So what actually happened to you then? They seem to cause quite a lot of serious accidents / deaths with their marvellous driving skillz.

Know what you mean.. cringed as a cop car rounded a corner at speed and almost took out a cyclist.

I'm glad of a front brake too, nearly caused some serious damage to some bint's BMW yesterday.. people drive as if they're asleep.

I like my front brake but since putting it on I've totally given up on the pedal resistance slowing. I'm a slave to the technology. I'm way over-geared though right now so once I get my ring off (hohoho) and replace the sprocket I should start resisting more.

i was taken out by the community police. i was going to pass them on oxford st (were parked on the left) the driver decided to pull out in a u turn quickly, i hit the front flew about 20 feet over and fucked my elbow up when i landed on it.
when he was getting questioned by the traffic police he said the reason for the u turn was to get back to base for dinner! -

I once had the pleasure of a high speed ride in a police car through kentish town/highgate. Front seat passenger, not locked up in the back I hasten to add. It was fun, though looked pretty nasty for all other road users. Best bit was listening to the banter on the radio. Crazy shit going on.

I love the look of a brakeless bike but it's just not practical enough because I can hardly control my bike :P

Do standard police drivers have special training for driving through traffic with sirens on at 60mph? The ones in Astras and stuff? I read a few things, which I don't know if they are true or not.
One is that its just a niceness to move out of the way for a Police car with sirens on, and you are not bound by law to get out of its way.
Two is that every time they go through a speed camera over the limit, the Police force still has to pay the penalty.I do not know whether this is actally true, mind...

They're also not legally allowed to break the speed limit or go through red lights but it's accepted that the laws they're trying to prevent being broken are more important than those laws.

wouldn't stop me...........yeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
i've been off work now for two months after getting cut up by a police van on oxford st, if i had no brakes i'd be getting at least half the compensation or none at all if they could argue the case saying i could have stopped in time.
luckily i did and i'm taking the fuckers on with them claiming full liability.
