Yes, the only thing that I would add is that, even though there aren't that many women on this forum, they could make up a large part of your target market. And they are more likely to not like your brand name...

But, if you are doing this to keep yourself busy, the rent paid and to make nice bags then go for it.

And, if you do make it really, really big then it will be aces to see 'Menstrual Cycles' listed on the FTSE :-)

ahh but then, kinda like the boobs on starbuck's logo, the name will evolve to something less "puerile", until eventually no one will remember how it started.. Something like MenstCyc or whatever.

i love the bags, i saw smeears on the weekend and i think it looks amazingly well made and very innovative (i like the tool pouch)

but i'm also with waynef_14 on this one.. being lighthearted and funny and taking the edge off of the elitism is great, but i think menstrual cycles, as a name, is funny, but will put too many people off (especially the logo, which i think is just gross and bit over the top)

i was just trying to think up something stupid but now i'm thinking, do they need to have a name?? I like the lack of branding thus far scot. what about Scott's Bags. I know that is a bit lame but the reputation based on quality seems to be the selling point at the monent.

I have to agree with the naysayers on the 'Menstrual' name. I get your point on the lighthearted thing, but it's a bit minging...

I think the bags look awesome, but I too would be cutting the name tag out when I get one - and if it had a big embroidery, I probably wouldn't buy one in the first place

But, it's your company - its your choice to call it whatever you want.

well, i am rather fond of the name, but think you need to add a tampon-sized pocket just to drive it home. this would actually be very practical. men or menopausals could use it to hold pens or something.
