  • I'm a, what do you call them, metrosexual. I'm not scared to wear pink and living in the North East right now is funny with all the comments from the homophobic northerners about my pink shirts. I'm coming down to London in two weeks time and I want to buy a pink shirt. I'm into stripes too. I've got a couple of Thomas Pink shirts and a few Hawes & Curtis ones. Any other similarly priced brands I should look at with main shop being in London?

    Thanks

ps. I was told this was the place to find out information about pink shirts.

  • lmao

  • Ahh. This is what I've been searching for all these years.

  • Jermyn Street is where I go.....

  • I like Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts

Mail order, and you don't even need to come down to the Smoke to get them.

  • winston Jermyn Street is where I go.....

I'm staying in a hotel on Jermyn Street so, yeah, I'll have a look Last couple of times I've been down I've stayed on my mates floor in an ex-council flat in Camden. Bringing the girlfriend this time so a little more upclass.

Also. How do you say Jermyn Street? (Relative to other words)

    "Germy End" Street

  • i don't know if you have american apparels in the UK, but (as much as everyone who works in every store is a fucking stuck-up indie hipster fucktard) they're shirts are wicked comfy and come in lots of colors including PINK. i've got a pink penguin polo shirt which is pretty nice - those also come in various colors.

also, not to be a thread-jacker, but on the topic of clothing, where can i find some nice fred perry polos? those are a bitch to come by in the US.

  • Ahh. The good old Fred Perry polo. If you send me 86,000 Ugandan Dollars I'll send you a few. Just give me your sort code and account number and we'll set it up.

  • off topic, what exactly can someone do with your acct no and sort-code??

if i need to send someone money, i would require these things

  • fred perry shop, covent garden.

  • shit, i think with what i have sitting in my room im a ugandan millionaire!

  • kilgore_trout i don't know if you have american apparels in the UK,

There's one up Shoreditch way, too. I remember because I was amused by the inherent contradiction of a company that's marketed with an anti-globalisation slant going global.

  • american apparel? no way, i bought a hoodie there wore it sparingly for 4 months treated it well there's a 2cm hole in the seam already!

there's actually a shop called PINK they sell loads of literally posh metrosexual pink shirts. sure i saw hippy walking out with 2 bags the other day.

  • I very rarely do the suit, shirt and tie thing so don't claim to be any kind of expert on this but do have a numer of shirts from Turnbull and Asser that are exquisite, only other shirt that comes close was a silk Yohji Yamamoto number I bought for a ball in the late eighties, took clothes rather more seriously back then. Their (Turnbull and Assers's) service is second to none and they more than likely have a selection of different hues of pink for you to choose from.

The thing I like best of all is that they have purpose made shop shirts, with their size embriodered on them, for you to try on to find the right size. This means you're always absolutely the first person ever to put on a shirt you buy from them. If other people do this I've never come across it, maybe it's a little silly but I think its a nice touch on their part

Here's their website and they have a shop on Jermyn Street

I've got a few PINK shirts as said above. Thomas Pink is what I called them to remove any ambiguation.
