I got mine on by dipping them in boiling water first to expand the rubber. Turned out a lot easier than I though.

the petrol method was quick!have the grips got holes in the ends? if not make a small hole for the air to come out!

I used lighterfuel to get my champ grips on and off.
if you need to get some really far down there when removing,
i used a chopstick which is obviously NJS. -

Yep, I've got cheapo red/white/black ones for £7.50, white soyo's for £11.50 + nice pink or purple champs for £12.50.
£2.50 P&P for 1-2 pairs (recorded).

had to remove one of the buggers last night to put on a quill stem, took fucking ages of sweating and swearing,
but saw this thread when i was having a fag break, about to do the washing up, threw the grip in the hot soapy water, smoked fag, pushed the grip on in 5 mins.....thanks :o) -

Only drawback to soapy water is on Cr Mo bars.
They go rusty inside.

Small amount of warm water. No soap. 2 days to dry. 2 minute job, tops. Perfect.

I fitted these a coupla weeks ago with the hot soapy water method and they went on in about 30 seconds... And they were a VERY tight fit...
