Looks like your frame is bleeding!

  • finally got to ride it today! took ages waiting for the crankset.

first build and first off on a fixed. shht myself goin around the block. clippin in and out on the move is somethin i have to get used to. managed to ride it in traffic no worries on my usual work commute route so i guess ill get used to it in no time. got 'lifted up' couple of times tho when i tried to stop pedallin...oh well, ill learn no doubt

  • looking sweet fatboy, looking sweet!!!
those white walled tyres, set the rest of it off nicely..

  • that's really nice for a conversion, nice and tight. i looks like a bona-fidey track bike.

  • it is really nice looking.

get some bar tape and end plugs though

  • wow. cute

  • thanks...still needs a bit of tweakin, chainline's not quite perfect. but overall really pleased with it.

and yeh. bit rough ridin without a tape. i'll put one on soon.

  • i have to say this bike looks great in the flesh!

  • mdizzle i have to say this bike looks great in the flesh!

hey mdizzle. lost you in traffic on the way towards monument. sorry bout that. had to rush off as i was runnin late for basketball out east! anyway, good chat in traffic...oh good luck on the eddy merckx build

looong day for me yesterday. rode from putney to the event, did couple of loops...rode all way out to west ham, played ball for hr and a bit and rode all the way back home. totally knackered. i was swearin my head off at the 47x16 ratio 'climbin up' wandsworth bridge...haha

  • no worries had to answer a phone call!!!
Did another lap,and then went out and back to clapham, via polo and then a quick wapping loop with a friend, was cursing my wtb saddle on the way up essex road! still it was a great day, playing slalom with all kinds of bikes instead of black cabs and white vans!!
Once again your ride looks so sweet in the steel!

  • nice build. It'd look lovely with full white bar tape though (imo)

  • sweet ride, worth the effort.

    great colour, works well.

  • ...agreed. And a very good short thread of your efforts. Well done. If you stuck to the £350ish budget you got a bargain with a ton of 'free' experience too.

  • thanks guys.

agree tallsam, white tape wouldve been good. but i wanted to keep it old skool. got a fizik tape from putney cycles (very helpful lot by the way), which i thought would be close to brooks' honey colour...nowhere near honey...bit red! do'h. im too tight to get brooks tape.

kipsy, unfortunately i failed to stay within budget. i think the whole build is under £500. anyway, dont mind it...got me self a nice ride and some valuable experience. makes me want to keep on buildin!
