I have been using a vaude fakenger bag for about 6 months now, and despite a lot of fiddling with straps and posture etc, I have been suffering more and more with a stiff back, and shoulder...

So I think I am going to go back to a rucksack... any recommendations? Pref. Waterproof...

speak to scott not scot on the forum, he's making lovely messenger esque bags, huge capacity, lots of support and great straps to bind it to you in securely, search for the Smeear my new bag thread and you'll see photos of the puppy, getting two meself. Also speak to 31trum, he's got one of Scott not scot's bags already and will be able to give you more info on the comfort of it.

Personally, I've had old timbuks for ages, just pull the stap tight and make sure its in the hollow of the back, also use a deuter rucksack as well. Most of my pain just came from being badly positioned on me bike, used to get aches in shoulder, neck, etc, once I got sized up and the bike was adjusted to me, no pain whatsover.
