I saw a bloke taking his Alf Webb track bike out of the bike park when I was going to get mine, at the TOL prologue
yes, they look as...interesting in the flesh.
Aluminium, not my bag.
Alf Webb the man, is a very nice chap. he built me a wheelset once.

look kinda lax for a track bike...
though from the looks of it, i don't see the normal tooth-paste welds you tend to have with aluminum frames

I did a wheelbuilding course with him (though it was his missus who was the expert). He's friendly enough, operating out of a vast property in the middle of the fens near Spalding.
No comment on the bike though.

Judging by the trouserguard, I'd say its not designed for the track

the BB's too low
the chainstays are too long
the head angle is too sharpto be fair, it's a stinker.
but AW is a top chap.

It looks like the NYC track/city bike. The track ends look awful and the welds are like crap smeared over a join.
I wouldn't believe it if they were made anywhere other than the far east by robots. -

Of course, i'm no expert but it just looks wrong.

Had one of these frames for a couple of years
Built into a great road fixed
Regret letting it go for track frame
If one came up would buy it in a hearbeat

I have an Alf Webb bike frame for sale if you're interested. It's one of 50 he made. I'm in Sheffield.

What size and price? It looks nice
-

It's a 54cm frame. Happily accept offers, otherwise it's just sitting in storage! It's well worn and would need a lot of TLC but the frame and carbon seatpost are still in good condition (I know very little about bikes I'm afraid). It's tubing 7005 butted throughout.

Afraid I’m looking for single speed that looks like it has rear drop outs for derailier

I have one available if you're still interested, mine's a fixed gear/single speed.
Stumbled across this one - http://www.webbline.co.uk/completebikes.asp (fixed is halfway down the page).
Anyone heard of them?
