Yeah, I had an issue with the hangover thing - my friends are going to Fabric to see Scratch Perverts and if I go too, there's no way on God's green earth that I'll get up at 7...
Only thing for it - stay the fcuk away from Fabric...
Shame really, I could do with a mash up...

You can get hammered all autumn when the track is shut due to crap weather.

Something I learned from my running days - CV exercise is a good cure for a hangover. Just keep drinking loads of water while working out.
The bad news is that you are going to feel really bad, the good news is that it pumps through your system a lot faster. So rather than feeling grotty for most of saturday, you just get all the pain compressed into an hour or so, and then you feel mighty fine for the rest of the day.

- Alex (want to be there by 8:45 for the induction)
I will be riding from Finsbury Park, and can pick up other northerners on the way. Does anyone want to ride there from the north side or from central London (perhaps meet at the brick lane bagel shop around 7:15, leave by 7:30?)

I'm going from Old Street, but can't say exactly when - depends how breakfast with the baby goes.
If you leave Brick Lane at 7.30am, you'll be there before 8am probably!

I could well be down for meeting at Brick Lane at 0715... Anyone else?

Alex, I'm coming from Crouch End so if I agree to meet then it makes me more likely to actually make it!

Good seeing you guys down there.

Did the induction and tried to do the second sesion. I got left behind.
Thanks to MA3K to showing me how easy it was to get my brakes on and off, Next time I'll ride the sesions on my own bike. It's nice to be able to use one of the supplied bikes, but when you're used to riding your own it sort of breaks your concentration having a creaky bike with a slack chain and low gearing.
Well worth doing, and now I've got my raffle ticket, I don't have to go so early.
Nice seeing you all there.

MA3K Good seeing you guys down there.
Good to finally meet Flo, she's a really cute kid.
@Millieriderenger - have I seen you before?
Not a cheesy line, by the way, you just look really familiar - I had the same thing with Lucky7, but couldn't figure out where that came from.

That was fun - I only did the induction and watched the training, but I can see a lot more Saturdays at Herne Hill in my future.

Likewise, definitely going again - that was fun!

yeah good fun - did the induction but next time I'll try for second session - thanks to the fella for the flapjacks!
now i just gotta get the old claude built up -

I would say it was good to see you all but I'm still not quite sure who's who!
ma3k and slamm I know, but brett, stompy and sano?
Anyway, it was a nice couple of sessions and glorious weather - what more could you ask for?(well maybe a slightly higher gear - I'm spinning out trying to keep up with the big boys!)

I'm f*cked now. Managed to stay the distance, and even beat the trackies at their own game - once ;)
The hire bike was quite a good fit, but yeah, they love their slack chains down there, and squishy tyres.
Nice to meet people, though I was recovering too hard to communicate much in between sessions! Damn, forgot to grab one of those nice looking flapjacks :(

hardcore. That endurance session just killed me.
I need a change of scene this week, and haven't ridden Herne Hill since I was a wee nipper. Are all the hire bikes 49x15, and what do 'small' and 'medium' roughly equate to (Winston)?
